OK - Let's get started

We've been in Niteroi for just over 3 months now. It's been a busy time: Carnaval, apartment remodel, shopping for furniture, unpacking 85 boxes shipped from San Francisco, and reconnecting with family and friends.

I'm still searching for a routine. Aside from following US politics via a dozen favorite websites (like Truthdig) and a similar number of progressive radio podcasts (like Rachel Maddow) I have yet to find the best way to fill my unemployed days.

All the same, we are settling in. So far we are quite happy with our decision to relocate and start anew.

I'll share some of our adventures and many of the highlights along the way as we bask in the quality of life known only to Brazilians.
