Eating Americana

From the first moment that I ate Brazilian food I was in love. Better said: Luiz cooked me a fantastic Brazilian meal the first time he invited me over for dinner. And I fell in love.

But there are some dishes I prefer in my "home" version.  I posted about so-called "American Lasagna" over on the Cooking in Brazil blog.  It's a terrific recipe. Check it out.

You mean, lasagna without ham? And easy enough i can actually use those lasagna noodles I've got stuck in my pantry??

totally checking it out.

On an off note, I dipped my pinky toe in the political waters today. Probably not your candidate, but Equality for All message. Baby steps, but I'm getting there. Let me know what you think (truly).

isn't lasagna Italian? with cottage cheese instead of Ricotta.... does this make it American? okay now I'll go read the recipe.

I eat italian lasagna all the time and I think is much similar to the brazilian lasagna anyway.

American lasagna is spicy ( i think it is so weird how americans add pepper to any dish)...
