Making cheese again

I’m trying to get focused again on my cheese making adventure. Really. But now I just don’t have an appetite.
Before it was too cold to try and make cheese. Then I had gastric bypass surgery – which took away my desire to eat (and in some cases my ability to eat).
But now I think I can get back at it.  I can’t eat a lot of it – but the project still has appeal.
I have the equipment – so let’s see if I can make a go of it. It’s warmer outside now.
Luiz will appreciate my success. Stay tuned.

I was toying with making some raw cow cheese and goat cheese. I haven't got passed "toying' though. :-)

The idea of making cheese makes me hungry. Good Luck!

Oooh, what kind? I've been curious about making cheese here, but haven't been able to find the necessary stuff for anything other than simple curds, yogurt cheese, etc. What kind of milk will you be using?

Jenna - I'm going to start with the "easy" stuff and try to get my way up to a good feta. I found this website which has good instructions: http://biology.clc.uc.edu/fankhauser/cheese/cheese_course/cheese_course.htm

I bought rennet and a cheese mold/press and a food thermometer.

You have to use the NON-ultrapasturized milk sold in bags in the refrigerated section. I found some at our corner pandaria.

Wish me luck.
