Can we bury this controversy?

Ok - I know this is a blog about Luiz and my life in Brazil, but forgive me if I continue to feel the pinch of injustice against LGBT folks in my country of birth, especially in the state where we recently lived for the past 24 years.

Here is a great video that takes on the propoganda against gay marriage in California (and elsewhere).  Make no mistake, this battle has not been won.  Talk to your friends and family. Check it out.

Great video!
I say Utah should separate from the Union...or we should just have all Mormons deported to Iran were their values are shared and appreciated...

Its getting very scary here. The problem is a significant majority of retired angry white idiots are expressing their racism and bigotry through catalysts like Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin, masking it as "restoring honor" to the country... and they are getting a lot of press. Our values are becoming more and more out of whack as they gain momentum!

Thank you for posting this video. To be honest, I never really had a strong opinion one way or another. Now I feel that I need to promote and protect the human rights that should be available to each person and couple.
While living in Brazil for the past nine months I am happy to be an American citizen.... despite our many flaws. I feel that our on going fight for equal rights among ever living and breathing soul has far exceeded Brazil. I know many people in Brazil will disagree about this but everyday conversation proves otherwise. Not to mention the new ban on adoption. Thank you again for opening the eyes of so many people.
